SSR Distinguished Fellowship

The SSR Distinguished Fellowship recognizes active SSR members for their outstanding contributions to the field of reproductive biology and to the Society, illustrated by sustained high impact research, leadership, service and mentorship.

In addition to this prestigious recognition, SSR Distinguished Fellows will receive free membership to the society for one year and and waived publication costs in Biology of Reproduction (limited to two papers over three years from the time of induction into the fellowship).  The SSR will award 15 Fellows for the 2021 inaugural year and 5 Fellows per year thereafter. 

Fellowship Criteria:

  • Over 15 years of uninterrupted regular membership in the Society
  • Body of published research work in reproductive biology with transformative and enduring impact in the field
  • Evidence of leadership and service to SSR
  • Evidence of academic legacy with active SSR membership among mentees, sustained impact of the legacy

  • A nomination letter/ statement that summarizes seminal contributions to the field (limit 3 single space pages).
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • The nomination package will list 25 publications and highlight up to 10 with a statement of impact.
  • Applicants may consider inclusion of transformative technologies and therapies that could be directly attributed to the nominee’s research.
  • Applicants may describe academic legacy and its sustained impact.

    Fellows will be notified of their selection in late January/Early February 2021.  New members will be inducted into the Fellowship at the 2021 SSR Annual Meeting.
