2023 SSR Board of Directors Call for Nominations

 for the SSR Board of Directors are now being accepted from SSR Regular and Emeritus Members. This is your opportunity to nominate fellow SSR members who would be outstanding leaders of our society. The positions open for nomination this year are:

  • Vice President-Elect
  • Treasurer
  • Director (two positions available)
  
Duties and Time Commitment 

The Board of Directors shall be responsible for the control and management of the affairs, property and interests of the Society, and may exercise all powers of the Society except as herein provided, in the Articles of Incorporation, or by statute expressly conferred upon or reserved to the Members. Duties for all of the positions are described in the SSR Bylaws.


Vice President-Elect:
Vice President-Elect Term and Time Commitment
  • Four-year commitment (One year term as Vice president-Elect, one year term as Vice President, one year term as President, one year term as Past President)
  • Attend the SSR Annual Meeting (In-person)
  • Attend the SSR Mid-Winter Meeting (In-person)
  • Attend Bi-Monthly Executive Council Calls and Board of Director Conference Calls (Zoom)

Treasurer:

  • Three-year term. Eligible for re-election

If you would like to nominate a colleague, please contact the person to confirm his/her willingness to be nominated and to serve if elected. The nominator should complete the nomination form with information about the nominee, including current position/career level, leadership experiences, research accomplishments, evidence of service to SSR and the reproductive biology community (e.g., membership history, previous service, and dedication to trainee development).

Self-nominations are also accepted. We encourage the nomination of individuals representative of the richness of our membership, including diversity of gender, ethnic background, geographic location, and field of study. Please see the composition of our current leadership below. 

Please note that Nominations Committee Members cannot be nominated for any open positions.  

The nomination must be submitted online via this link by Monday, November 7th, 2022. No email submission is accepted.
